Love for Animals


I was born in Rural NZ raised on a farm, surrounded by animals, my love for them began at an early age. My parents bred Newfoundlands for many years. Working as a commercial freelance photographer over the years, I’ve had the privilege of capturing animals in their natural environments—whether at events or in the homes of family and friends.

I quickly realized that pets are often more comfortable and expressive in familiar settings, rather than the stressful and unnatural atmosphere of a studio. This insight led me to specialize in preserving their unique personalities through authentic, location-based photography, allowing their true essence to shine in a way studio settings simply can’t replicate.
